When I lived in Gibraltar, our family would go camping in Spain in the summer. One thing I remember from those trips was sangria, a fruity drink that was thirst quenching in the hot summer climate. A hot Utah summer is the perfect time to make this drink, especially for a get together. This is a non-alcoholic version.
1 quart grape juice
1 pint ginger ale
½ pint sparkling water such as Perrier or San Pelligrino
Fruit cut up into small bites: whatever is in season (though I think lemons & oranges are a must) and to your taste (lemons, oranges, peaches, grapes, nectarines, apples, etc.)
Mix all together in a bowl. Chill. Serve with ice individually in the glass/cup; you don't want to water down the mixture too much.
